2 AirAsia executives suspended over ‘safety’ violations

New Delhi, August 11

Aviation regulator DGCA has positioned two senior executives of AirAsia India below suspension for 3 months over alleged security violations. The motion was taken on a grievance by an AirAsia India’s former pilot, who runs a YouTube channel known as Flying Beast, for alleged violations of security norms by the low-cost airline.

In June, in a YouTube video, pilot Gaurav Taneja raised considerations over some insurance policies of the airline, together with adherence to guidelines throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and plane touchdown procedures. — TNS
