In a weird incident, the MC staff on the instructions of the Municipal Commissioner have taken 15 goats into custody for consuming the saplings planted on the highway divider. Besides, a high-quality of Rs 3,000 has been imposed on every goat.
The incident passed off at Yellandu city in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana.
Municipal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy lately witnessed the goats damaging the saplings planted as a part of the sixth part “Haritha Haram” (plantation drive) that goals at rising the inexperienced cowl within the state to 33 per cent.
During the sixth part of “Haritha Haram”, the state goals at planting 30 crore saplings in numerous elements of the state.
On the instructions of the Municipal Commissioner, the workers involved detained 9 goats on Thursday and Friday and one other six on Saturday. All 15 have been confined on the municipality workplace. The MC workers is giving them feed and water because the homeowners of the goats haven’t proven up, presumably apprehending reprimand.
The municipal authorities have despatched out a number of WhatsApp messages, asking the homeowners to come back to the municipal workplace and get the goats launched by Monday after paying the penalty below the provisions of the Municipality Act, 2019. A message has been despatched out that in case the goat homeowners fail to show up, the animals can be auctioned on Monday.
