As many as 10 Central Trade Union Organisations will collectively observe September 23 as ‘Nation-wide Protest Day’ to oppose the codification of labour legal guidelines, disinvestment and privatisation of public sector enterprises—including 100 per cent FDI in a number of the core sectors. .
The unions organising the proposed protests are INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF, UTUC.
AITUC nationwide normal secretary Amarjeet Kaur mentioned unbiased sectoral Federations and Associations can even participate within the protest.
“The policies of the central government are against the interests of the working people of the country,” one other chief mentioned.
The Unions’ different calls for embrace lockdown wages for employees, no retrenchments of the employees and no wage cuts through the lockdown interval as suggested by the Union authorities.
