Stage has been set for scheduled ‘Kisan Tractor Parade’ in Delhi against the three contentious farm laws enacted by the Centre.
The farmer leaders claimed that around 1.25 lakh tractors will enter the National Capital for tractor rally on Republic Day from Singhu Border and it will take three days to complete their tractor rally in the National Capital.
Thousands of farmers on their tractors and trolleys, other vehicles reaching continuously for the last three days to participate in the tractor rally.
The farmer leaders received NOC from the Delhi police to hold tractor parade in Delhi with unlimited number of tractors and for unlimited time, claimed Harender Singh Lakhowal, general secretary, BKU.
All preparations for the tractor rally are completed, “do’s and don’ts” before and during the tractor rally have been finalised by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha and also sent to all farmer groups to spread it to every farmer, he said.
The farmer leaders will gather at the central stage near Singhu Border at 8 am tomorrow morning and will start moving to Delhi at around 10 am, Lakhowal said.
The tractors reached the Singhu border beyond our expectations, he said. As many as 1.25 lakh tractors will participate in the rally and it will take around three days to complete the march in the National Capital, he added.
As many as 3,000 volunteers in green jackets will control the tractor speed and the tractor will move in a single lane while one lane of the road will be kept free to deal with any untoward incident, he said.
Besides, scores of volunteers of the farmers’ unions will also be with the rally and drones will be used to keep an eye on rally and miscreants, he said. Food packets will also be served to the farmers, he said.
Over 100 ambulance have been managed by the SKM and around 15 buses have been managed for the women for tractor rally, Lakhowal asserted. Besides, the tractor mechanic teams will also be with the rally, he said.
As many as 20 tableaus made by the farmers will participate in the tractor rally, he said. Besides, a special advisory has also been issued to the farmers already, he said.
