US courtroom rejects plea difficult H-1B visa ban

Washington, September 18

An Indian-American federal decide has turned down an enchantment by 169 Indian residents who had challenged President Donald Trump’s order that barred international nationals on H-1B specialty occupation visas from getting into the US until the top of the 12 months.

The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that permits US firms to make use of international employees in speciality occupations that require theoretical or technical experience. US District Judge Amit P Mehta of US District Court for the District of Columbia in his 11-page order on Wednesday mentioned that Indian residents, who at the moment are trapped overseas throughout journeys to India when borders closed, are unlikely to win their case contesting the journey ban proclamation of Trump. — PTI
