UK PM Johnson set to overtake Britain’s treason legal guidelines: The Mail

July 26

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is ready to overtake the United Kingdom’s treason legal guidelines, the Mail on Sunday newspaper reported.

Johnson’s overhaul will see a brand new Treason Act, a brand new Espionage Act for monitoring international brokers and a rewriting of the Official Secrets Act to make it appropriate for the digital period, the newspaper reported, citing Downing Street sources.

The newspaper described the overhaul as the most important shakeup of the treason legal guidelines since 1695, saying it was being executed to counter the menace posed by Russia and China.
