Saudi Arabia, January 5
Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies — UAE, Bahrain and Egypt — agreed to restore full ties with Doha at a summit involving Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Qatar emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani here on Tuesday, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud said.
The move is aimed at strengthening the alliance against Tehran. Saudi Arabia and its allies had severed ties with Qatar in 2017, accusing it of supporting terror. — Reuters
