Punjab-born Irish man eyes Guinness document for stroll


London: Seventy-year-old Vinod Bajaj, born in Punjab and based in Ireland, has applied for the Guinness world record after completing what he calls his Earth Walk – covering over 40,075 km – without stepping out of his home city of Limerick. His application with the Guinness World Record is currently under process. PTI

Six die after inhaling poisonous gas in Pak’s Sindh

Karachi: Six workers died after inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning an underground tank in a factory in Pakistan’s Sindh province, an official said. Industrial incidents in Pakistan’s biggest city and financial hub happen regularly as many factories and industries are found to largely ignore safety regulations. PTI
