Meghan wins privateness battle in opposition to tabloid paper

London: Meghan, Britain’s Duchess of Sussex, has won her privacy case against a tabloid newspaper which printed extracts of a letter she wrote to her estranged father after a court judged issued a summary judgement in her favour on Thursday. Meghan, 39, wife of Queen Elizabeth’s grandson Prince Harry, had sued publisher Associated Newspapers after its Mail on Sunday tabloid printed handwritten letter she sent to her father. Reuters

Nepal bans three Indians for faking Mt Everest summit

Kathmandu: Nepal has banned two Indian climbers and their team leader from carrying out any mountaineering expeditions in the country for six years after a probe found that they faked their Mt Everest summit in 2016. Narender Singh Yadav and Seema Rani Goswami received expedition certificates that year which have been revoked. Naba Kumar Phukon who led the expedition, has also been banned for six years starting May 20, 2016. PTI
