Indian freedom fighter’s bust vandalised in Bangladesh

Dhaka: Police in Bangladesh have arrested three members of the ruling Awami League’s youth front, Juba League, for vandalising a statue of of revolutionary Jatindranath Mukherjee, popularly known as Bagha Jatin, in Kushtia. Kushtia SP Tanvir Arafat said a night guard at the Kaya College witnessed the incident. It has been vandalised out of personal aggression, he added. IANS

Two more suspects linked to Vienna attack arrested

Zurich: An Austrian of Afghan descent whose genetic material was allegedly found on the weapon that a jihadist used to kill four people in Vienna last month has been arrested, prosecutors said on Sunday. Authorities will seek court approval to put the 26-year-old into investigative custody. Another unnamed suspect was also arrested. Reuters
