India is sending extra reduction and humanitarian supplies, together with medicines and foodstuff, to Lebanon after a large explosion final week devastated elements of Beirut, killing greater than 160 individuals and injuring 6,000.
India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador TS Tirumurti supplied deep condolences on behalf of the federal government and other people of India to Lebanon on “this horrible human tragedy”.
“We are immediately sending more medicines, foodstuff and other essential items to do whatever we can to alleviate the difficulties on the ground. We are discussing with the Government of Lebanon on how we can contribute further,” he stated. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres additionally paid condolences. — PTI
