In tit for tat, Russia expels Norwegian diplomat

Moscow, August 28

Russia’s Foreign Ministry introduced the expulsion of a Norwegian diplomat in response to the same transfer by Norway final week.

On Friday, the ministry summoned Norway’s ambassador to Russia, Rune Resaland, who was instructed that one of many embassy’s diplomats had been declared persona non grata and had three days to go away the nation. The ministry stated in an announcement that its resolution was made “in reference to an unfriendly act of Norwegian authorities,” who declared a Russian diplomat persona non grata on August 18. — AP
