French paper reprints Prophet’s caricatures

Paris, September 1

French satirical paper Charlie Hebdo, whose employees was decimated in a violent assault by Islamic extremists in 2015, is reprinting caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed cited by the killers, declaring “history can neither be rewritten nor erased.” The announcement got here on the eve of the primary trial for the January 2015 assaults in opposition to Charlie Hebdo and, two days later, a kosher grocery store.

In an editorial accompanying caricature, the paper mentioned that doing so for the opening of the trial was obligatory. — Agencies
