Dev Jagadesan appearing head of US International Growth Finance Company

Washington, January 25

US President Joe Biden has named Indian-American Dev Jagadesan as the acting head of International Development Finance Corporation.

“These public servants, like so many across the federal government, are dedicated to serving the American people, not a political party or agenda. He has extensive experience in government and has held several leadership positions over his career, according to his bio posted by the DFC.

Dev joined the DFC’s predecessor, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, in 2001 and in his current position, provides legal support and guidance to all aspects of its operations and mission.

Jagadesan also serves as the Designated Agency Ethics Official responsible for the DFC’s ethics programme and compliance.
