Covid-19 pandemic: Australia’s Victoria state reviews 10 new deaths, 459 circumstances

Australia’s Victoria state has recorded 10 deaths in a single day from COVID-19, its highest day by day toll amid a seamless surge in coronavirus circumstances.

State Premier Daniel Andrews stated the deaths included seven males and three girls. A person in his 40s grew to become one of many youngest COVID-19 fatalities in Australia.

There are 459 new infections, the 21st straight day of triple-figure will increase.

The fatalities deliver Victoria’s toll to 71 and Australia’s nationwide tally to 155. A complete of 228 individuals are hospitalized in Victoria, 42 in intensive care.

Victoria processed 42,973 checks on Saturday, Andrews stated, “far and away the biggest testing result that we’ve seen on a single day.”          

He stated he isn’t at present planning to increase the lockdown in Melbourne, Australia’s second-largest metropolis. — AP
