China protests alleged US spy aircraft incursion throughout navy drills

China is protesting the alleged incursion of an Air Force U-2 spy aircraft right into a no-fly zone imposed throughout live-firing navy workouts within the nation’s north.

In an announcement issued late on Tuesday, the Ministry of National Defence stated the motion had “seriously interfered in normal exercise activities” and “severely incurred the risk of misjudgment and even of bringing about an unintended air-sea incident.”           

“This was a naked act of provocation,” the ministry stated, quoting spokesperson Wu Qian. China has lodged a stern protest and demanded the stop such actions, Wu stated.

The assertion stated the workouts had been being staged by China’s Northern Theater Command however gave no particulars as to their precise time and place.
