Biden: Prez rallies superspreaders

Washington, October 30

The election rallies of Donald Trump are superspreader events, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has alleged. He questioned the US President’s efforts in addressing the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic.

The raging Covid outbreak has become a key issue in the November 3 presidential election as the US has so far recorded 89,45,891 Covid cases and 2,28,668 deaths. “He is spreading division and discord,” Biden said at a drive-in election rally in Tampa, hours after the president and First Lady Melania Trump addressed a huge crowd in the city in Florida, a battleground state.

Melania urged voters to support Trump for betterment. Meanwhile, two Indian-Americans — surgeon Dr Vivek Murthy and Harvard economist Raj Chettyare — have been included in Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s team of core advisers. — PTI
