Belarus president assessments constructive for coronavirus

The president of Belarus says he examined constructive for the coronavirus and is asymptomatic.

President Alexander Lukashenko made the announcement Tuesday at a gathering with safety officers, the state information company Belta reported.

He had beforehand dismissed considerations concerning the coronavirus as “psychosis”.        

“Today you are meeting with a person who managed to survive the coronavirus on his feet. Doctors made such a conclusion yesterday: asymptomatic,” he stated.

Belarus took no complete measures in opposition to the coronavirus, resembling lockdowns or ordering social distancing.

The nation has about 67,000 confirmed circumstances of an infection and 543 reported deaths. AP
