Belarus police detain no less than 10 protesters in Minsk: Russian media

September 20

Belarus police detained greater than ten protesters in Minsk on Sunday, Russia’s TASS information company reported, citing Belarus police.

People had been gathering for a rally in Minsk and different cities, calling for veteran chief Alexander Lukashenko to step down.

Mass road protests have rocked Belarus since presidential elections in August, at which Lukashenko claimed a landslide victory in a vote his opponents say was rigged. Reuters
