Baltic states slap journey ban on Belarus President

Vilnius (Lithuania), August 31

The three Baltic international locations on Monday slapped their very own journey sanctions on 30 high officers in Belarus, together with President Alexander Lukashenko, in response to a brutal crackdown towards protesters who say the August 9 presidential election in Belarus was rigged.

Those on the record are banned from coming into Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, based on the doc signed by the three Baltic nations’ inside ministers. “New people will be added to the list in the future.” mentioned Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda.

The transfer comes because the European Union is planning its personal sanctions record of as much as 20 senior Belarus officers suspected of election fraud and the crackdown on protesters and is prone to put Lukashenko on that record sooner or later. — AP
