Moscow, September 28
Russia has reported over 8,000 new Covid cases for the first time since mid-June. The 8,135 new confirmed cases brought the country’s total to nearly 1.16 million.
Meanwhile, in UK, people will be required by law from Monday to self-isolate if they test positive for Covid or face a 1,000-pound fine, which increases to 10,000 pounds for repeat offenders.
The government said the infection was spreading rapidly again and the measures were aimed at ensuring compliance. — Agencies
