Peshawar, August 28
At least 16 individuals, together with a girl and two kids, had been killed and eight others injured attributable to flash floods brought on by torrential rains in northwest Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district, a catastrophe administration official stated on Friday.
Eight individuals died in Upper Kohistan district, six in Swat and two in Shangla district of the province as a result of floods on Thursday night time, an official of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) stated, including that 40 homes had been broken in these areas.
The flood water inundated homes in Shahgram and Teerat space of Swat district from the place six deaths and accidents to eight individuals had been reported.
PDMA Director General Pervez Khan and Secretary of aid rushed to the affected areas to supervise rescue actions.
The rescue actions are underway in full swing within the affected areas and individuals are being shifted to safer locations, Khan stated.
Chief Minister Okay P Mehmood Khan, who additionally hails from Swat, has expressed concern over the lack of life and property. PTI
