Capt Amarinder Singh
My heartfelt congratulations to the entire team of The Tribune on its 140th Foundation Day. The occasion marks another milestone in the glorious legacy of a media organisation that has played a remarkable and exemplary role in upholding the spirit and ethos of free, fair and fearless journalism in the pre- and post-Independence eras. Once described by Mahatma Gandhi as the ‘best viewspaper in India’, The Tribune, along with its sister publications Punjabi Tribune and Dainik Tribune, has been instrumental in powering our nation’s progress through the years.
With the media’s role in the complex, new India becoming more challenging, I see the Tribune Group evolving further to lead the next level of change and progress of the nation with its traditional integrity and professionalism. I extend my best wishes to the team so that under the dynamic leadership of a visionary management, they can continue to heed and raise the voice of the people for years to come.
