Sushant dying case: NCB recordsdata case towards Rhea Chakraborty, others to probe dealings in banned medicine

New Delhi, August 26

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday filed a felony case towards Rhea Chakraborty and others for his or her alleged dealings in banned medicine, officers mentioned.

They mentioned numerous sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) have been pressed within the grievance filed by the federal anti-drugs company on an official reference acquired from the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The alleged narcotics dealing hyperlinks are related to the felony probe being carried out within the dying of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, who was discovered hanging at his duplex flat in Mumbai’s Bandra space on June 14.

The NCB is now the third federal investigative company probing this case other than the ED and the CBI.

The ED, which is probing a money-laundering angle into the dying of Rajput, has questioned Rhea Chakraborty, and has obtained “deleted WhatsApp messages” allegedly indicating dealings in banned medicine from her telephone.

Rhea has been questioned by the ED about these suspect drug offers and her assertion on these allegations has been recorded by it below the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), officers mentioned.

Her lawyer Satish Manehsinde had vehemently denied the allegations made towards the 28-year-old actor.

“Rhea has never consumed drugs in her life ever. She is ready for a blood test,” Maneshinde had mentioned.

She is the prime accused on this case and has said in her petition earlier than the Supreme Court that she was in a live-in relationship with the actor.

The ED had shared these alleged drug hyperlinks with the CBI too. PTI
