Punjabi dance group do Bhangra on ‘Gasolina’; viral clip has left web grooving

A jawdropping Bhangra video on Daddy Yankee’s Gasolina has gone viral.   

The dance was carried out by a gaggle named ‘Folking Desi’. 

This video reveals a splendid cultural fusion act. A gaggle of boys in black kurta and chudidar, carrying vibrant turbans, groove to the beats.  

Towards the tip of the video, the group makes use of Sapp – a standard people instrument of Punjab and is usually seen getting used as a prop in Punjab’s native dance varieties.

Sharing the video on Instagram, the group stated: “We did this X years back, but watching it still makes us wanna get up and dance! Gasolina x Bhangra is a combo – do you agree?”.


The video shared on September four has garnered greater than 90 thousand views and has greater than 850 feedback. 

For the unversed, ‘Gasolina’ is a reggaeton track written by Daddy Yankee and Eddie Ávila for Daddy Yankee’s 2004 album Barrio Fino. The monitor was launched because the album’s lead single in November 2004.
