Do you think that web has come as a blessing for actors?

The online streaming platforms have been a blessing for the aspiring talents with no godfather in the industry. If you get a role in a movie then you might be considered a sidekick but with a series, the characters have more space on screen, and you get recognition.

I was always awestruck by Sushmita Sen. She is a wonderful human being and a very good listener. On the sets, she never made me feel that I was a fresher. I want to work with her again.

Apart from acting, what are your other interests?

I have always enjoyed dancing and performing and have been a keen learner of various dance forms, including Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Hip Hop, Jazz and Ballet. Apart from these, I enjoy Bhangra and Garba as well. Besides, I enjoy singing and occasional cooking. Beetroot halwa is my latest interest. I want to say travelling also but it’s been so long since I travelled for leisure.

How active are you on social media? Do you think the number of followers is important for an actor to get work?

Now when one is considering you for a job, they not only look at your craft, but also see how many followers you have on Instagram and so on. It’s competitive and so much more than just acting. So, it is good to have a plan B and learn to accept rejection.

Are you happy with your career graph?

Any advice to the people struggling to become actors?

As an actor, you should be a good listener. You should always understand what a director wants from you in a scene. So, it’s extremely important to not go on any set with a preconceived notion.
