Nepotism does not exist in TV trade, says casting director Rupesh Sonar

Well-known casting director Rupesh Sonar has been associated with the television industry since last 20 years. The seasoned casting director says that the debate of nepotism is not relevant to the television industry. He says, “In television, we always give chance to new people.”

Pointing out the difference between the journey of a star kid and someone who doesn’t have a backbone in the film or television industry, Rupesh says, “Of course, outsiders have to struggle more. People who come from outside the industry need to be told that they should take an acting workshop or grooming workshop. So, they need to learn. They come here and learn but star kids are groomed in a certain way from their childhood.”
