After Sony Entertainment Television announced its new show Super Dancer Chapter 4 to premiere on March 27 at 8 pm, rumours were doing the rounds that Indian Idol will be going off-air. However, sources close to the show have confirmed that the singing reality show is not going off-air any time soon. In fact, the top 10 contestants will be announced this week and the show will run for another two to three months. But, it will have a new time slot as it makes way for Super Dancer Chapter 4. From March 27 onwards, Indian Idol will be aired at 9.30 pm instead of 8 pm.
The 9.30 pm slot was earlier booked for The Kapil Sharma Show. Meanwhile, confirming the new time slot, Indian Idol judge, Himesh Reshammiya, says, “While Indian Idol makes way for the ultimate kids dance reality show Super Dancer, our musical journey will continue with our viewers at a new time. The talent on Indian Idol that you have witnessed and rooted for remains the same, your host and the judges remain the same and we all will be ready to welcome our viewers every Saturday and Sunday at 9.30 pm.”
