Ellen DeGeneres addresses office allegations in letter to employees

Popular TV host Ellen DeGeneres has penned a letter to the employees of her present within the wake of allegations of a poisonous work surroundings and sexual harassment. 

Dozens of workers of The Ellen DeGeneres Show have come ahead in an explosive report from Buzzfeed, alleging sexual harassment and misconduct by a few of the present’s high government producers.

In her letter to the employees, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, DeGeneres tendered an apology and stated that the present was envisioned as a “place of happiness” however that’s not the case at present.

“On day one in every of our present, I informed everybody in our first assembly that ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ can be a spot of happiness, nobody would ever increase their voice, and everybody can be handled with respect. 

“Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show,” she stated.

DeGeneres stated she takes duty for what has occurred because the present bears her identify and warranted the employees that steps can be taken to “correct the issues” going ahead.

“As we have grown exponentially, I’ve not been capable of keep on high of every little thing and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d need them performed. Clearly some did not. That will now change and I’m dedicated to making sure this doesn’t occur once more…

“As someone who was judged and nearly lost everything for just being who I am, I truly understand and have deep compassion for those being looked at differently, or treated unfairly, not equal, or worse disregarded. To think that any one of you felt that way is awful to me,” she added.

The TV present host promised that she’s going to “do my part in continuing to push myself and everyone around me to learn and grow”.

The allegations detailed in Buzzfeed report primarily centred upon head author and government producer Keith Leman, who has been accused of groping and propositioning male employees members.

Others allege they have been inappropriately touched by producer Ed Glavin, who’s reportedly parting methods with “The Ellen Show”.

Earlier this week, Warner Bros’ mum or dad WarnerMedia initiated an “internal investigation” to research allegations of poisonous work surroundings. PTI
