Popular Telugu actor Prabhas has come ahead to undertake 1,650 acres of reserve forest on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The actor of ‘Baahubali’ fame on Monday handed over a Rs 2-crore cheque to Forest officers for the event of Khazipally reserve forest on the Outer Ring Road close to Dundigal.
Prabhas together with Telangana Forest Minister Allola Indra Karan Reddy and Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar laid the muse stone for an city forest park. They noticed the reserve forest from a short lived watch tower and later planted few saplings within the reserve forest area.
The ‘Rebel’ star, as Prabhas is popularly referred to as, took up the initiative below the Green India problem promoted by Santosh Kumar.
The Forest Department will convert a small portion of the reserve forest into an city forest park whereas the remainder of the forest will likely be a conservation zone.
Khazipally reserve forest is understood for its medicinal vegetation and it’s prolonged in three compartments.
The Forest Department goes to fence your complete 1,650 acres and instantly begin creating an eco park.
A park gate, see-through wall, strolling observe, view level, gazebo and medicinal plant centre could be constructed within the first part.
Prabhas said that he was impressed by his good friend Santosh Kumar to undertake Khazipally forest space and would donate extra, relying on the progress of the work.
He requested the Forest Department to develop the reserve forest in order that it could create an extra lung house in Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits.
Santosh Kumar had final 12 months adopted Keesara reserved forest area and laid basis stone for rejuvenation of reserved forest and eco park. He had said that he would encourage and request his buddies to participate in adoption of reserved forests.
