Mumbai, August 26
The rupee pared a few of its early features and settled three paise larger at 74.30 (provisional) towards the US greenback on Wednesday supported by optimistic home equities and sustained international fund inflows.
At the interbank foreign exchange market, the home unit opened at 74.34, towards Tuesday’s closing of 74.33 and eventually ended at 74.30 towards the dollar, larger by three paise over its earlier shut.
During the day, the native unit witnessed an intra-day excessive of 74.24 and a low of 74.46 towards the US greenback.
Meanwhile, the greenback index, which gauges the dollar’s energy towards a basket of six currencies, superior 0.06 per cent to 93.07.
Foreign institutional traders had been web patrons within the capital market as they bought shares value Rs 1,481.20 crore on Tuesday, based on provisional change information.
The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex was buying and selling 83.06 factors larger at 38,926.94 and the broader NSE Nifty rose 38.20 factors to 11,510.45.
Brent crude futures, the worldwide oil benchmark, rose 0.02 per cent to USD 45.87 per barrel. PTI
