Maruti posts marginal rise in Q2 revenue


New Delhi, October 29

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Thursday reported 2.04% increase in its consolidated net profit for the second quarter at Rs 1,419.6 crore on the back of higher sales. It had posted a net profit of Rs 1,391.1 crore in the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal.

Revenue from operations rose by 10.34% to Rs 18,755.6 crore for the second quarter as against Rs 16,997.9 crore in the same period of 2019-20, MSI said .

On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 1,371.6 crore, up 1% compared to Rs 1,358.6 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

IndiGo loss widens to Rs1,194 cr in September quarter

Budget carrier IndiGo on Thursday reported a net loss of Rs 1,194 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The airline’s total income stood at Rs 3,029 crore in the second quarter of 2020-21, a decrease of 64.5% over the year-ago period, it said in a statement.

Vodafone Idea Q2 loss narrows to Rs7,218 cr

Vodafone Idea on Thursday reported narrowing of its consolidated loss to Rs 7,218.2 crore for the quarter ended September. The company had posted a loss of Rs 50,897.9 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal on account of making provisions for statutory due payments. — PTI
