More than 40 crore financial institution accounts have been opened beneath the federal government’s flagship monetary inclusion drive Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, launched about six years in the past by the Modi-government.

As per the newest determine, there are 40.05 crore beneficiaries of this scheme and deposits in Jan Dhan financial institution accounts are in extra of Rs 1.30 lakh crore. Over 50 per cent of the Jan Dhan account holders are ladies. — PTI
