Facebook-owned Instagram on Friday stated it has launched a separate tab for ‘Reels’ in India, making it the primary nation to get the characteristic, that may allow customers to simply uncover short-video content material.
In July, Instagram had unveiled its new format ‘Reels’ in India that permits customers to create and share brief movies.
“Earlier this month, we started testing a new tab on Instagram to make it easier to discover entertaining Reels. Today, we’re expanding this test in India to most of the country. India is the first market we’re launching in due to the interest and creativity we’ve seen,” Facebook India Director and Head of Partnerships Manish Chopra stated in an announcement on Friday.
The Reels Tab is a brand new tab within the navigation bar that may exchange the Explore tab, and Reels will not be in a unit inside Explore, the assertion stated.
The tab will solely present Reels, and may have an immersive auto-playing video, a creation entry level that opens to the Reels digicam and a sound on by default with faucet to toggle on/off, it added.
The Explore tab may be accessed on the high proper of the consumer’s Feed, it stated.
