Industrial manufacturing shrinks by 16.6% in June


New Delhi, August 11

Industrial manufacturing declined by 16.6% in June, primarily attributable to decrease output of producing, mining and energy technology, as per the federal government information launched on Tuesday.

According to the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) information, manufacturing sector manufacturing registered a decline of 17.1%, whereas the output of mining and energy fell 19.8% and 10%, respectively.

Consumer durables see 35% contraction
