The Chamber for International Trade and Industry (CITI) has urged farmer unions to adopt new farm model to create economic opportunities in agriculture for doubling their income.
Mohan Singh Sudan, president, CITI, said the states should create a climate that nurtured local farm enterprises and provided adequate infrastructure support to optimise the resources for economic growth. He said creative thinking and right lead could put the farmers on the fast track of development by providing hand-holding support to the farmers in getting right price for their produce.
